    Interesting comments about the need to make auto infotainment systems "more like smartphones". While they mention the need for easy OTA updates (come on, Blackberry!), that will definitely also include security - in the recent 60 Minutes episode "Darpa Dan" there was a great segment on how easy it was to hack into a standard vehicle, taking over brake and accelerator operation, etc. Very dangerous stuff, with huge potential for nasty kidnapping-type scenarios where cars suddenly go where you don't want them to, doors won't unlock, etc. :

    Plus add the liability issues, fickle consumer tastes and the risk of user error...
