    Hi everybody,

what's up: when I use my 8900 to output audio to my stereo, I hear my original audio plus a high-pitched squeal. This squeal sounds a lot like a PWM signal (a rectangular waveform) and I guess it might have something to do with the bb sensing if some external device is attached to it (to switch off the internal speakers. However, the external speakers ARE switched off as soon as I connect it to my external stereo, so the sensing seems to be alright).

What's up fellow BBers, and can I do something against it?

    Cheers and regards,
    MarkusALC

No one with a similar problem or an idea for a solution?

Well, turns out I was able to find the reason myself. So, for the record (or maybe someone uses search because of a similar problem and finds this thread): The cable that I used had some connector issues, shorting out two connections. I cleaned the connectors and stuck them firmly into the device and voila, the squeal disappeared. Really an easy, cheap solution ....
