I came across this in the grocery store today. I always see Android or Iphone mags but have never seen a Blackberry mag in the 2 years I've owned my 9700. It was $20 Canadian and I didn't have the cash, seemed like it might have been geared more to the newer OS which makes sense. Unfortunately, I'm still using my 9700 with 5.0.0.862 and won't be in the market for a new phone anytime soon. Still, it might be helpful for those with new phones or new to Blackberry.
Thanks for the info. I have never seen a Blackberry phone magazine in the USA either, but I have seen other phone makers magazines. I will be on the look out.
There's a very similar magazine available here in the UK (I've only seen it at WH Smiths) its a guide to all OS7 devices and IIRC has stuff about the playbook also, it's around 9, which thought was very pricey, I might buy it next time I get paid if it's still there, just out of curiosity.
That is cool. Rim really needs to spread that mag out. Over the last few weeks I've came realize that most users dont know what their blackberry is capable of. Even long time users.
All the other brand users like hanging around here I believe they would be reading the magazine. After learning some stuff they might start seeing our point of view. Its getting so tiresome explaining this stuff. lol. I'm going to see if I can get a subscription.
I picked a copy up at Books-A-Million this past Thursday. Does an excellent job introducing a lot of the features of OS7. Though I know enough to be 'dangerous' it's well worth having around for reference. It also has a section on recommended apps to get for your BlackBerry.
It's been a long while since I've had a subscription to any magazine, but that's one I would love to have. Unfortunately, it's a UK outfit and they don't deliver to the New World.
i picked this magazine up at Chapters last week. (St. John's, NL) it is from the UK, actually the third I've purchased; they appear to be from different publishers, but similar in design. No other advertising, so must be published with assistance from RIM? A decent reference, i picked up a few tips and tricks for both my Torch 9800, and Playbook.
