    Hi,

I want to switch my phone from a Galaxy S2 to a Bold 9780 with all my text msgs. Is there any app/ way of getting it done?

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but AFAIK, no backup facility is cross-platform.

Don't believe it is possible. I know there is an SMS backup for Android, but don't think you could carry over to BB.

sim cards can only store x amount of sms, usually in the 25-100 range. I know that when I was a Bell Specialist for the Source in Canada, we had a program on a PC and a device that we could plug into about 90% of the phones and transfer vital information between phones, such as sms, contacts and emails. You can try going that route, not sure where you are located, but try out a dealer branded store in your area and see if that helps.

Asking for help at the carrier's store is a great idea. Ballsy personal question: how many texts do you have, and why do you want to save them all?

there is software that can do it but I'm not sure which is best. Here is a short article on doing it with links to some software. Good Luck.
