Now my phone appears to be working for now. However it's not holding a signal very strongly at all. The chassis has quite a bit of corrosion due to the water damage (obviously). Would purchasing this solve my problems?

good luck with that .... and i didn't know "rice" can get moisture out of devices not that i EVER had a cell anywhere near water, but nice trick.

at this point you'd be better off just getting it replaced, you do have "insurance" right??

No don't have insurance. Insurance doesn't cover water damage anyways i don't think.

do you have insurance? if so you just pay the deductible and you will get a replacement

insurance does cover water damage (that is the point of getting the insurance). warranty does not cover water damage.
