    Hello, I have a BlackBerry 8350i and I am having some problems...

    I plugged my bb to my laptop in order to make a software upgrade (from 4.6 to 5.0), so far so good...
    But after I backed up my data, the upgrading began and eventually came to a complete halt...
    My bb screen is white and says Reload Software 507, and de Desktop Manager says "waiting for device to restart"...
    Is this normal? It has been like this for quite a while... What should I do?

    Just wait for a while. Sometimes it can take over an hour.

    507 just means that the os needs to be installed.

    It's completely normal and part of the process. The current apps will be backed up, delete OS, install new OS, reinstall apps.
