    Hi,

I have been buying, selling and repairing BB's for ages but for the first time i have hit a snag. In the past when ever i have needed a replacement part number the old part has always been present. Now i have just brought a BB Bold 9000 that needs a new screen but the old one is not present, can i find out the part number (as there are a couple of versions) and which screen i need without the old one and if so how do i do this.

Only problem is that there are different lcd's for the same model of blackberry... I had this issue before when I replaced a screen on a 9700.

You have to use the exact model number as the original LCD screen.

Unfortunately no there is no way to find out the part number without knowing the previous LCD model that was installed.

You might just have to take a chance buy and exchange the LCD screens until one of the three work.
