I am new to all of this.

I 2 days ago purchased the BB Curve (White One), I want to use BB Messenger.

My friend Kirstie has got it and i have sent her pin, name and number all an invite from BB Messenger and she says she isnt receiving them, she has also tried adding me and nothing happens.

Please tell me what i am doing wrng...also please if you use technical words, help me out as all this jargon is new to me.

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan (BIS)? You cannot use BlackBerry Messenger without one. Generic data plans or data plans for other smartphones will not work.

Phone your carrier and find out what kind of plan you are on. Sounds like you just don't have a BlackBerry data plan.

Your carrier will be able to provide the proper BIS plan if you call them. Once the plan is in place, you will have the proper service books so BlackBerry Messenger will work.
