I am from Canada. I could purchase a Bold for $150 or a Curve 8900 $220. Which one would you pick? And why? (I was going to buy the Curve 8900 because of its smaller size and better camera. But now the reduced price of the Bold is making me think twice.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I would say go with the cheaper one, but IMO I would definatly go with the 8900 they are sleek, sexy &smaller. In the long run it is about how the phone is going to function for you though. I would say play with the both of them and then make a choice.
3G is a faster technology - it's not 4mb/sec vs. Dial up but it is a bit faster. I can watch videos over the net on my 8900 using EDGE decently - there is some loading, but on my previous Bold I experienced buffering times no doubt, just less overall. I mean I would personally take the Bold and if after a month or so of use I would potentially consider trading it with another users' 8900.. But then you have to factor in that. For the $70 more you'll get more memory, a smaller form factor, but lose 3G. Go try them out - if you REALLY prefer the 8900 then there you go, but if not then maybe go Bold.
