    Hey,
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700, on a contract with Vodaphone. I get 600 minutes and unlimited texts, and as far as I'm aware the internet isn't included in my plan. Does the internet on Blackberrys cost? The same with Blackberry Messenger, does that need to use the internet to access? I've had my Blackberry since June and I haven't used BBM yet because I wasn't sure if it needed the internet to access it. Can you use BBM with Wi-Fi? I'm actually having problems with that too, it says I'm not in a Wi-Fi coverage area, yet I'm sat at home, trying to access my home's Wi-Fi. Thanks for any replies!

I know very little about the wi-fi deal, as far as connecting to it.

BBM and the browser out side of Wi-fi do require you to have BIS/BES plan (data package) on the phone.

You need to have a BIS or BES plan in order to use BBM, or access the internet via RIM's servers.

It should work on wifi though, have you configured that correctly, have the correct password, etc?
