    i got my blackberry about 6 months ago used, its the pearl 8100 and its for at&t, i dont know if i need to down load anything on my fone or wat? i just want to be able to but songs on it. plz help me, i have no idea wat to do or wat to down load im lost

    connect your phone to the USB port that came with the phone and then plug the port into your computer.

    Yes any USB cord will work, I believe the Pearl uses a mini USB, which are pretty common. Newer BBs like the Storm, 8900, Tour, etc use micro USB. But I'm 99% sure the Pearl would be a mini.

    Make sure you have a USB cable that can do data transfers, some usb cables are charging capable only, i.e. number of pins used in the cable.

    So, when you plug into your PC or notebook, open My Computer and look for your BlackBerry drive. You can open it to see your media card, and you need a media card to add media files like pictures and music. Once you've found your drive and music folder, simply drag and drop the music files you want onto your device.
