Hi everyone, I just got my first BB and love it, but I have a problem.

I apired with my friends Sony phone to let her send me ringtones. I paired ok, but when I try to receive stuff it keeps saying connection failed.

I've done everything I can think of but nothing works. Can anyone help me?

I've been to media and pressed the BB key but I don't get a "receive via bluetooth" option. It's driving me nuts!

    Thanks in advance!

    You're almost there...

To receive anything via bluetooth on a BB, you have to request it first from within the folder you want the file to end up in.

To receive a ringtone, go to Media > Ringtones > Menu > Receive Using Bluetooth, then just accept the file from the sender.

    Hi,

I have a problem in my BB 8700 and am unable to transfer files to my PC using bluetooth.

In the /settings/options menu, the bluetooth is shown as "enabled" and the screen displays " Searching for devices..."

I am unable to clear this screen and can only get out to the main menu using the escape key.

In the "Blackberry set up" option however, bluetooth is shown as disabled and the screen displays "please ensure your Bluetooth device is in the pairing mode." On pressing OK, the bluetooth icon is displayed on the main menu.

The device is sensed by my PC ( WIN XP - SP3) running BlueSoleil Ver 1.6.1.4 and successfully paired. However I am unable to transfer any mp3 file using the "receive using bluetooth option" and the msg "waiting for connection is" displayed.

Had no problems transferring to my old Nokia phone from the PC with the same software.

    Any help welcome.

    Thanks

    Ranjit
