    Hi, i have a blackberry 8330 on verizon through work. last night out of no where my data service stopped working?

    I still get work emal, personal internet email, txt msg, jive talk is working, my bank app works, and my weather app is getting info. but if I try to access the internet, i get:

    Unable to connect to the selected mobile data service, please try again later.

    any help?

    try resending service books or go to option - advanced - host routing table - press menu button then select register now

    Maybe a carrier issue but I would start with a battery pull first.

    He's getting all of his data so there's no data problem actually occurring. He just can't surf the net. Make sure also you go to options-advanced options-host routing table-menu-register now. That should put you back on track after your batt pull.

    If your other apps are working then you're getting data. So your browser is malfunctioning.

    As suggested, pull your battery and resend your service books.

    If that doesn't work, you may need to reload your OS. Several of us have been experiencing browser issues this last week or so, although your specific symptom is new. Upgrading the OS was the only thing I tried that actually made a difference.(Been there, done that )

    thanks i did a battery pull twice, im not a techno genius so I'm afraid to do anything that will mess it up more!

    ok i did the registering thing and got an email that said:

    your handheld has been registered with the wireless network.

    then i went to the browser again and got the same thing

    so what is this about service books?

    i have had the same issue twice, but i'm on ATT not Verizon, however, a battery pull was all i needed to fix the issue both times.

    If you've done all that and it's still not working then I'm guessing you're looking at reinstalling your OS. Check the sticky in the 83XX section for instructions.
