I upgraded 4.3 to 4.6on my computer. The question of the day is "how do I now get it to my phone". I have the VZW curve.

Yes Oakie is correct. For the OP, are you trying to update your operating software?

Okay, stop for a minute, and I mean absolutely no offense here.

You really have no idea what you are doing or the potential pitfalls.
The wisest thing you can do is get to know how your device works,
and read some of the many, well written HowTo guides on this site,
starting with the 101 Lecture in my sig.

It is this kind of thing that invariably causes new users trouble
and bricks their phone. Slow down a bit. Even without the
upgrade you have a fine and very usable device. Use it for
    a little while.

But you got to do some of the heavy lifting yourself

And just think, with all the knowledge you gain, you'll be
walking some frazzled newbie through an "end of the world crisis" in no time at all.

Feel free to post your questions, and if you like PM me if

Well said AG! Good to get familiar with your device first. I honestly did not do my first OS change until I was 6 months in being a BB user. I was too scared to jack up my BB. But for the OP, the links that AG said to go check out for install are very good to check out. Here are my install instructions that I like to give to newbies because its very basic and not too many difficult steps. Here it is... Just make sure you have desktop manager installed to your PC first in which is sounds like you already do.

    1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
    2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/
    3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
    4. Download desired OS to your PC
    5. Install/run OS to PC
    6. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
    7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
    8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

Step #2 is optional but I highly recommend incase a install goes bad.
