    On the hit HBO show Veep, I noticed last season just about every character was using a BlackBerry Q10 (on this show every government staff member has a phone in their hand throughout every episode). Considering it's a TV show set in the office of a fictional Vice President (now President) with her multitude of staff members, I assumed it was an excellent portrayal (considering I've read government offices use BlackBerrys). However, I noticed in this season all the White House staff members are now holding iPhones. Thought it was an interesting decision by the TV show executives to change phones. Product placement?

    Simply an observation.

    I haven't caught up with the new season yet but that's too bad. It was nice seeing all those black Q10s in the previous season.

    I had same thought during last season. First episode this season begins with Selina walking with her Q10. But she rarely has her phone. All her staffers and extras have switched to iPhones now.

    I swear I saw a Z10 or Z30 on there once as well. But the Q10 ruled the roost. Amy and Dan always had theirs front and centre.

    Yes, Amy and Dan's Q10s were always displayed prominently, in addition Ben and Sue. It was arguably BlackBerry's best bit of mainstream television marketing with excellent product placement and millions of weekly viewers. Now, unfortunately, they're all carrying Apple this season like the rest of TV.

    As a fan of the show I noticed this too, this season is a complete turn around from season one that was full of BlackBerrys.

    Yeah I've noticed a lot of Q10s too, but I wish BlackBerry had given them some dummy units of the Classic so they'd have more current phones.
