Since Verizon and AT&T are merging to LTE, does this mean we will see the same devices on both carriers and will not be exclusive to one branch?

For example, the 9700 is exclusive to AT&T if we had LTE today, would the 9700 be on Verizon also?
Or will it remain the same way it is? Just a question I've been wondering about this and how it will work out.

I'm open to being schooled on this I will not take anything offensive

    Thanks in advance.

Look at the Canadian Market place for what MIGHT happen

Bell / Telus (Belus) are Verizon
    Rogers is AT&T

Belus moved to a CDMA/HSPA+ hybrid network, which then gave them access to all the same phones Rogers had, with the exception of a few exclusives

the challenge between them is, even through both are GSM Carriers, they use different frequencies, which I suspect Verizon and AT&T will do, so the phones will only be Half compatible and will allow for Carrier exclusivity.
