I have noticed that a lot of GPS games are on the Iphone but rarely on Blackberry.
    Gowalla being one of them.
I know Foursquare got an app and they did a great job, they didn't left us behind like other sites but some don't seem to care about us BB users at all.
They want us to use a mobile website or there's just no way for us to play at all.

So, I was wondering, is making apps for Blackberries using GPS that hard?

It isnt that hard, there is a fairly well rounded sample for a GPS Demo application included in the JDE download. What I think people struggle more with is understanding the threading model and how to use it, though again, a working sample is included in the GPS Demo.

Are there specific applications on iPhone that you think would go down well with BB users?

It is also possible that developers attracted to the BB platform are from a different background, perhaps targetting different types of audiences.
