What's your take on it? Which is better?

IMO, I'm for GSM... having an unlocked phone and being able to travel and put in a local sim card to avoid any hefty international fees.

There are a few world phones that use CDMA with a sim slot when traveling. Not sure which ones are available would be nice to know if anyone knows.

AFAIK, Sprint, Verizon and their associated MVNOs in USA and one of the big China wireless companies use CDMA technology.
There may be others I'm sure Raino has the most knowledgeable info on things like this.
All I found was the following http://phone-solutions.pavemyway.com...ators-List.php

Depends where you are located and what will work best for you [=
