Yeah no. All those apps suck ( no offense to the creators) download Reader YC if you want a good app. Awesome Hacker news client. No animals or weird ACIDS (which can KILL you) involved.

Hope no one users the browser to login to their banks website, uses an app, or uses password keeper.

Nfc is about as secure as a good old fashioned key. If security is so important, why did bbry implement simple password on 10.2?

Lose your keys, lose your phone, lose your wallet. All equally bad.

Apple claims your finger prints are not stored anywhere. If they get caught keeping people's finger prints, its game over for Apple.
I'm kind of reluctant to accept anything any american tech company is saying at the moment to be honest. If they say they aren't doing it, I don't necessarily beleive that - Google and streetview anyone?. The track record for many of them isn't so good currently. Coupled with the fact that if they are lying they claim they may be forced to for fear of being arrested for treason.

I don't remember where I heard it from, but someone had mentioned at one point that the fingerprint scanners on laptops didn't take "because thieves need your fingers more than you do." Don't know how true that is, just something I overheard from somewhere.
Apple have gone to great lengths to explain how that isn't an option. Of course I feel relieved, because the average street thug will have kept himself fully up to date on such announcements and won't be after phones+fingers based on his diligent research on the technology.....

New fad, using your middle finger to unlock your phone. Will be popular with kids. 'No I'm not giving you the finger, I'm just unlocking my phone '.
