Well I have been using my 8900 for about 30 days and naturally visit this site everyday, did have a pearl-and I was surprised about the number of posts but it finally happened to me-Hi everyone, the preinstalled sd card started giving me an error msg, so I take it out and put in a 4gb card, which won't format-so I put the orig back in-still get error msg,all this was this am, then this afternoon, the camera won't work,tells me to close open apps. I did battery pull, hard reset,and cussed- any ideas gang

You should not be having hardware issues after only 30 days.
I would take it in to a retail store, show them what it is and is not
doing and request a warranty exchange.
