You might want to increase the intervals for recording if you have not done so to reduce the log file's size.
Unfortunately... I can't. I do navigational testing for one of the major car companies, so I need the track to be as accurate as possible. This one does very well, even in a downtown situation (like downtown Chicago). Any higher of an interval would start to impact the quality of track at turns/interchanges. Technically, 5 seconds is almost too long sometimes.
In any case, there can be an Java bases application (running on a MAC, PC, Unix etc.) that read GPL files and convert them to the other formats... it's not a big deal to provide such a tool.
Unfortunately not, this was still OTA when I downloaded it.
Could You download the cod files from the device then? I need a good tracking application now and can't wait when GPSLogger shall be available for downloading again.
I've been using GPSLogger for a while now (ver 0.4.15) and it seems to be the best GPS recording program I've found. I do have one problem though; it seems that the phone has a hard time large amounts of data on the phone (8hrs of driving).
Would it be possible for you to email me your large gpl files - so that I can test with these large files... ? [you find my email address on my bb homepage (at the bottom of each page)...
I am very sorry - but the party I am communicating with had informed me last week, that they are really busy right now - since then I haven't hear anything (which matches the statement that they are busy) - so there is nothing that can be done from my side (except to wait)
Wow, I hope you square away any issues. I am glad I still have mine running. Unfortunately it was OTA, or I would share.
emacf1, I pimp your app all over the net. It really is a great piece of software.
I appreciate the offer. I will just have to live. I hear that Blackstar will have tracking very soon. Loved GPS Logger while I had it but guess I will be waiting for something else.
I have been using GPSed for quite some time. Downloaded it from here OTA. OS 4.2 and its works great. No problems and totally Free!!! It's accurate. Took me 3hrs28min to travel 383mi with a top speed of 110.8mph. Now only if it had a built in radar detector. The other car that was keeping up got pulled over by the state trooper. Sucks to be him. Lucky to be me. =8')
