The problem is that Verizon has control over what applications can use the internal GPS and they are not allowing GPSLogger to use it. With the earlier OS, 4.2, they didn't allow any application to use it. With my newer OS, 4.5, they are allowing some applications to use it but still not GPSLogger.
yes - that seams to be correct [at least it looks from the distance like that]...

    update 0.4.15 is available:

    What's new?
    • Option to display Lon/Lat values as raw data

    For OS4.6+ owners
    • Virtual Compass (see attachments) - Thanks to to Rob Antonishen for the very nice compass svg file!

Get the latest version from GPSLogger Downloadpage - but please pick the "right" one for your BB OS Version!

Have you checked the options/settings? There you can specify googleearth and two forms to gpx formatted files for export.

Then once you've run a log (start/stop), you can pick Manage and then EXPORT either to email account specified or to a file.

You can MANAGE older files if you have them saved to the card, otherwise they might be gone. Hmm, maybe it keeps something internal besides the exported formats.....

you need to choose a location in the Filesystem for your paths... once that is done you can use the "Manage Path (prev recorded)" from the menu

Is there a way to export the log right into a Google Maps link instead of Google Earth? So someone can just click on the link from any internet connection and not have to have Google Earth. A couple of friends of mine have programs that allow this. They send me an email, and the link just opens up a Google Maps map with the trail they did. Thanks.

It appears the programmer has taken it down. I hope that it is only a temporary disappearance. The application is terrific.

He was trying to get the 'total elevation' formula working in a manner more like other devices, or, at least, like users expect.

Yes - the application is temporary offline - till certain issues (that are not related to the functionality) are solved - I am sorry for the inconvenience - I'll update you as soon as the issues are resolved.

Sometimes it's more dramatic for short answers, I know, I know.

In other news, I look forward to try this once it comes back online.

I've been using GPSLogger for a while now (ver 0.4.15) and it seems to be the best GPS recording program I've found. I do have one problem though; it seems that the phone has a hard time large amounts of data on the phone (8hrs of driving). Is there anyway to make the export of large files more stable, or make a small converting program that doesn't run on the phone?

Again... huge fan of the program. Please keep the updates coming.

You might want to increase the intervals for recording if you have not done so to reduce the log file's size.
