got my BB about a month ago, gps was working fine, started d/l some apps, and noticed that my gps no longer works, went to ATT and the guy tried to pull it up through the options/advanced options/gps and under GPS Data Source, it says "none" and theres no other options to change it to, he said it was probably an app that disabled it, and i thought that maybe BuddyGuard was the cause, deleted it and did a battery pull, still nothing, As far as my other apps go i dint have anything i think would disable it, Opera, weatherbug, pandora, shazaam, bb app store, are the only other ones i have. Anyone had this problem and know the fix? thanks

Check your app permissions... Since I don't have GPS on my device I am not sure what could be the cause... but that's a good start I guess...

To the OP, do you have the 8520? There is no GPS on that device. BlackBerry - Curve 8500 Mobile Phone - New BlackBerry Curve 8500 Phone

I don't think AT&T carries the 8530, because it's CDMA. They only carry the 8520, which doesn't support GPS or 3G connection. You might have the 8520.

i was under the impression its the 8520, just checked the ATT website and they only have the 8520, not the 8530. i know that it doesnt have the 3g, but i know for sure that i had the gps working on it when i got it, and i pay $10 extra a month for it so i better have it. Ill see if i can find my way to setting up/changing of the app permissions, still kinda new to the blackberry. thx for the input

If it's a 8520 (and you can easily check by going Options > About) drop the$10/month and get Google Maps. It's not as accurate as a GPS, but it's accurate enough.

    No GPS on the 8520.
You went ATT so I assumed.
