Well when i use my maps the sats can never find me EVER. I am with virgin mobile so im sure if that makes a difference but is there a app i can get that works in canada and is basicly the same premis as maps?

have you tried out the google maps?????

turning on the GPS (search for satalites) on in blackberry maps and leave that minimised , it has a good GPS lock which will help you better navigation..

make sure you are not moving when you turn the GPS on

And with some internal GPS in some places it needs to view the open sky with nothing obstructing

Is the GPS on? Check options/advanced/gps Make sure it is turned on, not just 911 only. That screen should also display the current GPS location. Click Refresh GPS and see if it returns an updated location. It may take a few minutes to get the first lock.
