I'm coming from an 8320 right now, and I still can't seem to get my gps to work. I downloaded google maps, but I don't seem to have a gps option. When I try to show my location through bb maps it just sits on "searching for sattelites" but never comes up with anything. And when I try to download telenavs free trial it stops halfway through..

Is there some type of setting I need to enable for my gps to work? And what programs are my best bet for on the fly driving directions?

    Apart from :
a). being outside where the phone has line of sight to the satellites
b). going to Options, Advanced Options, GPS, press Menu, select Refresh GPS and wait while it does, it.

There's not much else to do. My GPS worked first time with Google Maps.

HAve a look at this thread http://forums.crackberry.com/f100/gp...littes-135331/, it may shed some light on the problem.

also there is never a menu option for gps in google maps. If its there it will use it (blue blinking ball) if it does not have a fix then you get the big faded blue circle.
