I am totally lost as to how to get the GPS on my 8330 working. Do I have to purchase additional software or what? If so, what is the best software for the GPS?

nTelos says they do support the GPS on your phone. You should have bbMaps installed and you can download several free GPS programs for it as well. Google Maps is a favorite.
Turn on GPS technology
1. In the device options, click Advanced Options.
2. Click GPS.
3. Change the GPS Services field to Location On.
4. Press the Menu key.
5. Click Save.
To turn off GPS technology, change the GPS Services field to Location Off.
Hit the menu button then Refresh GPS, it will then go and locate the sat, it should display your location then how many sat's are available. If it has trouble try setting it close to a window or try it outside. Then install Google Maps Mobile, Nav4All or BB Maps. If you have Verizon, you can only use the BB Maps or the VZ Navigator.
