I've gotten my friend's little brother to a Z10 but I'm jealous that he got a white one, and my coworker who hates touchscreens to upgrade to the Q10 (she didn't know there was a new phone)

Possibly, or could be that the poster was assuming that the OP knew more about BB10 and sideloading than his friend, given that he convinced her to by a Z10 and likely already owns one.

Tried to get my wife to get a Z10, but I failed. She got an iPhone 4s because she has an iPad and didn't want to learn a new OS. She is not the adventurous type. Sometimes despite your best efforts, you do not reach the goal. But there is always the next upgrade cycle!
