BlackBerry and Giuliani Partners team up to combat cyber threats | CrackBerry.com

    Giuliani becomes Trump's cybersecurity advisor...

Does this imply increased BlackBerry sales in software and perhaps hardware?

It was a smart move by BlackBerry to get close to Giuliani that's for sure.

Hopefully he's BlackBerry's foot in the door in Washington. He'll talk BlackBerry up for sure. He can't hurt.

I think Chen probably had a wet dream or two about this. The problem is Trump and his cronies would sooner send him (and TCL) packing on the next banana boat to Shanghai.

What U.S.-manufactured phone would be purchased? There aren't any.

BlackBerry couldn't sell phones when the president himself had one.

Is this the same Chen who said he would be delighted to hand over the keys to the authorities when it comes to breaking encryption? No wonder he is in bed with the fascists

Exactly. So it becomes a question of who will. With made (and designed) in China as the mainstay of TCL's existence...not likely. Perhaps a little more promising on the software side, but we are not really sure where Trump stands on Canadian-owned BlackBerry either. In the end it all comes down to whether or not the Trump administration is going to give it's 'America first' policy any real teeth...or if it is mainly a PR exercise manifested via Twitter and other bullying tactics.

Well it seems that we've come to that. One side bows down to China the other to Russia. Take your pick.
