Wow, those are some serious collections. NICE find OP. I guess it's like a hobby, like how some people collect figurines or AFX and Tyco slot cars

    Wow, OP!
Some of these collections are MEGA-impressive.
Clearly, these are true diehards (some of whom can probably rival Kevin!) lol

    Thanks for sharing.

LOL that made me giggle. Should we ask Kevin to post a pic of his entire collection on here? haha

Probably because they still work? Germans are greener than North Americans.

That's brilliant. I wonder if the pager style device could still be used? Did it use a SIM does anyone know?

At least in the US the network is gone (i do believe) and it would not be able to be activated anyone, its not E911 compliant (though it may be classified as a pager type device meaning you could get around the E911 bit)

Yep, you're right. I did a little digging and they were available on two networks both of which are gone. Shame, I'd like to use that for a bit just to see how it was. My oldest blackberry that I still have is my 8700, I still like to use it every now and then (best kb made if you ask me).

Really? I thought the 8700 had an awesome keyboard, but I think the best keyboards ever made were on the Bold 9000 and 9900.

I really liked the 9000 kb but the feel of the 8700 just worked better for me. The 9900 (at least the ones I've tried) seemed very spongy.
