    I've recently added an Office 365 account via my handset which uses BIS (IMAP).

    When I send an email through this account the message status changes to 'Sent', then changes to 'General Failure' ten seconds later with a red cross.

    I've re-added the account, resent the service books, tried pulling the battery.

    If I edit the account via the handset to re-enter the password, I am able to send a message but five minutes later if I try the same problem is back.

    Any ideas?

    For future reference i used to hand this out to customers blackberry.com/btsc best bet for fixes. I know it has something to do with the account but haven't had to deal with that error in like a year lol so not sure if it has changed.

    I found an article about similar problems with Hotmail but not sure how relevent it is to Office 365.

    Before I went to bed I changed my IMAP server from imap.office365.com to outlook.office365.com as recommended by Microsoft, and volia, I could send email.

    This morning I woke up and have the same issue.

    Unless anyone has and other ideas, I may try to add as pop. Annoying though since I shouldn't have to do that and I cant seem to find other people with the same problem.

    Sorry don't have many other ideas on hand haven't had to troubleshoot these in far to long. Sort of lost my touch with the legacy Handhelds since most of the companies I do IT for have android/ios/BlackBerry 10.

    Sorry forgot to mention one other thing you can do, call carrier for support if they can't help you they will pass it off to a level 1 rep BlackBerry if that doesn't work it would be passed to level 3 ie where I used to work lol.
