They'll probably do what nVidia did when they hit 10K. Rather than go to 5 digits, they'll drop to low 3-digit numbers with some idiotic prefix/suffix to give them another decade of models. Ex. BlackBerry 130GT.

I'm guessing they might just go to 5 digits, but really start advertising with names instead of model numbers. The Tour will just be the Tour, not 9630 Tour. Bold, Curve, Pearl, KnightRider, ATeam, stuff like that. I would put down a deposit on a not-yet-invented BB if I knew it would be called the BlackBerry KnightRider.

Yes, most likely names. Just like Windows, they got tired of Windows 95, 98, 2000, etc. Now they just use other things like Vista, XP and who knows, maybe Gorp.
