I have a Blackberry Curve 8320. For the past few days it has been freezing up. The hourglass is constantly running on my desktop which prevents any access to programs or phone calls. If someone tries to call me while the hourglass is running the call does not come through and it shows as an unknown call in my received calls area. What is causing this and how do I fix it.

What's your file free? Options > Status

If it's getting low, close to 12XXXXXX then that is probably what is causing the hourglass.

Have you done a battery pull lately? Do you have thousands of text messages on your phone? Hold down the Alt key and type l g l g (Ls not Is), press Menu and delete the log to free up some memory.

Are you closing your apps. properly after using them by pressing Menu Exit/Close?

I agree with the low memory. Take a look at this thread: http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...-memory-34633/

you should always make sure all programs or anything that you do on ya device you close down
and a batt. pull every now and then wont hurt
also making sure most of your pics/vids/music is stored on a memory card

Thanks everyone. The low memory was the problem. The file free was showing 0 bytes! You guys are awesome! It's running just fine now.
