Mine is doing the same thing. Must be a glitch in 10.2.1, it never did that before.

I think it's intentional. It's like that from the last 2 OS versions.

Most front-facing camera apps reverse the picture (left-to-right), so that when you are using the screen as a view-finder, you move your head left to move the image left. Most people find that much more natural and easier to adjust when taking their own picture. However, what the camera really sees is the opposite, and if the picture got saved just as you see it on the screen, things would be backwards left-to-right, so if you had text on your T-shirt, or an earring in one ear (or nostril), for example, it would be on the wrong side (the text would be backwards). So, once you snap the picture, the file is saved in the correct orientation instead of the reversed view you see on the screen.

Try it: put on a shirt with writing or a logo, and then look at the screen when using the front-facing camera: the logo/writing will be backwards. If you snap the pic and view it, the logo/writing will be the right way again.

If you have a web cam on your laptop/desktop, you'll notice it works the same way when you are viewing yourself on the screen: the image is flipped left-to-right so that you see a "mirror image" instead of the actual camera view, because you are used to a reversed "mirror image" when you see your face looking back at you, just as you would if you were looking in an actual mirror. But when you are talking with someone on the webcam, THEY see your image as the camera sees you (the right way), not backwards as you see yourself.

Some web-cam software will allow you to flip your view so that you can see what others see, but then your movements on the screen appear to be backwards: you move left, and your image moves right. Most people find that disorienting, which is why they reversed it in the first place.
