    The wifi on my friends 9900 doesn't function.

    I connected it to my z30s hotspot to test. It showed full bars but testing it with the mobile network off wasn't working - i.e. browser wouldn't load sites.

    Was this a common issue with that model?

    Anyone got some valuable knowledge on this?

    Thnx - I'd rather she commit to her BlackBerry (instead of the 3 phones she currently uses for different purposes)

    Wifi issues with the 9900 is a common complaint. But the issues was mainly with range. I couldn't go 8-10feet from the router without losing wifi. Ditched mine after a couple of days and got a 9790. Smaller, better battery and wayyy better wifi connection. If u use wifi a lot don't get a 9900.
