    i just got my memory card for my blackberry, i put it in and now it tells me it needs formatting. how do i do that???
    what does that mean

    options > media card > select format

    Makes it possible to read from and write to the card

    You are going to have to format it on your pc or the BB. If the card is in the BB, just go to options, media card, press the menu key and select format card. It needs to be setup to read the card properly

    ok seriously, im having problems, i have formatted the card but still the music wont show up on my bb.. what am i doing wrong. i have a folder where all my downloaded music goes, ive just copied them or dragged and dropped them but still nothing. please can someone tell me how to do this..

    Where are the tunes from? It is my understanding that DRM
    protected song (ITunes and a few others) will not play on the BB

    I think you may have misunderstood. Are these songs you ripped
    from your own cd's or were they purchased from somewhere?

    There are protected mp3's as well

    Did you copy those files to the proper folder on the media card. When you format it in the BB, the BB creates folders for music, ringtones, photos. While you can play files in the wrong folders (using other techniques), the Media Player will only show them if they are in the right locations.

    The other issue, do your MP3's have proper tags. They will only show up depending on their tag, like title, artist, etc.
