I finally found Sync 3 on the Ford website. Apparently it will be available on the 2016 Expedition, which I am in the market for soon.
What I found interesting is, it is compatible with the AT&T Z10 and the Verizon Z30, but no mention of the AT&T Z30.
Does anyone know more about this? Is their list incomplete, or will I not be able to use my AT&T Z30 with it?

As AT&T doesn't offer a Z30, it is not officially in Ford's list supported devices.
That said, if it works with Verizon's Z30 and AT&T's Z10, extremely high probability is works with your Z30.

My suggestion would be take your Z30 with you on a test drive and find out if it works.

I love my old one, but it has 161,000 miles and pulls a trailer long distances. Otherwise I would just keep it.

I hear you. I've got 158K on my 2001 Expedition and regularly tow a boat and snowmobiles (when/if we finally have some snow) in the mountains and it's time to retire it. There's no cell service in many of areas I travel and I'd hate to get stuck somewhere. It's been a GREAT vehicle, no major repairs. Hoping the new Expeditions work as well and last as long as the old ones. Looking forward to Ford's new Sync system. We've got a 2013 F150 and that system loses blue tooth connection all the time and isn't very user friendly.

Well, I bit the bullet and took the plunge!! Ordered my first new car in almost 9 years. I waited patiently for QNX on the Expedition, and the first one finally arrived at my dealer this week!
My Z30 hooked right up to it. I did go for a test drive, but didn't play with all the settings. I see there will be a learning curve, but I was able to master Windows 10, so this should be more fun than work!
I will have to be patient for a little longer, though. It will come in 6-8 weeks :-(

I linked Q10 with a rented 2015 Expedition...it worked fine for me.
