Isn't that wonderful ! Does anyone know if BB would allow those apps to be downloaded? Also, I often wonder about apps that are offered for free - why would someone do that unless they had some ulterior motive.

Some of us just want to contribute to the world. I have several apps out on Google Play and BlackBerry World and I get absolutely nothing from them. Not even usage statistics.

But one day... you gotta start making money with it. I'll have to start soon, no option

This seems too crazy to be real. Not that people can be spied on by their flashlight apps, but that there are that many apps to just turn the light on on your phone.

The guy they interviewed is full of crap when he says all the top 10 Flashlight apps pass that information along. Realistically... All the top 10 Flashlight apps "that ask for those permissions before you install it" pass that information along. Huge difference.

It's a simple matter of Joe Schmoe installing a Flashlight App that wants access to permissions.

It's also the matter that the TOP TEN FLASHLIGHT APPS in the official Google Play store are rife with malware, but let's just blame the user...

Surely you're not insinuating that Google can be at fault?

I mean, if they're top ten, then most definitely Google would surely scrutinize them, right? Like, with 20 different antivirus made by obscure programmer in Nigeria?
