Don't know if this is old news but my search didn't show any other posts.

Read this on the mozilla.dev.platforms.mobile google group:

Shame on the development team for not planning on offering the
"Fennec" aka Firefox browser for Blackberry users in the future. I
think this is a huge mistake on your part and that the team ought to
consider how many BB users there out there that use Opera and would
love to use the same browser that they use on their computers.

I know if I was in charge of marketing there, I would sure consider
the amount of users we would pick up in this segment versus just
offering it to a select few "commodity" phones.

    My 2 cents worth.

    Hi.

I'm glad you're a passionate Firefox user, and as a fellow BlackBerry user,
I can tell you that I'd love to have Firefox on that platform.

Sadly, though, the BlackBerry application framework would require that we
re-write Firefox in Java, which isn't a trivial task. If someone - or RIM -
wants to undertake this, they're welcome to do so since the code is free and
    open.

    cheers,
    mike
