Hi, I'm not sure if this has been answered before or not, didn't see anything but if it has please feel free to direct me to it.

I had 2 or 3 apps which either failed to finish downloading or that I canceled halfway through the download. Now my problem is that even though I dont have those apps, my memory has gone down because of the amount which did download. What I was wondering was if there was a way to get rid of these pieces of information which are on my bb and gain back the memory which it took up. I own a bold 9700. I tried restarting the bb thinking it might just dump it but no such luck. Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Thanks

I experienced the same thing with my 64 Mb Pearl. Loosing a couple Mb is a big deal.

The solution is simple, but time consuming. The download is saved in a temp file until it has been completed AND installed. That allows the temp file to be deleted.

Once you have the application installed, remove it and you will recover all the memory used.

Thanks a lot I will try that. I just moved to Zambia so the internet connection seems to fail occasionally, this may take a few times to try and download the apps fully, sometimes it works perfectly other times not so much. Anyways appreciate the quick response.
