Would like to use my BB 8330 for geocaching. Have to get an external GPS receiver as I am with Verizon. I Am debating between Freedom Keychain GPS 2000 and the Globalsat BIT-368i. Any suggestions on which one to get?
Freedom always used to have good reports from those who used it. I don't remember any mention of Globalsat (try searching the forums). I have never used either device but it is likely both will have similar location performance and the major differences will be price, delivery, and physical packaging.
I used a Freedom 2000 with my 8300 for two years before I got my 9700. I loved it, always on my keychain so it was always with me. It would turn off if it thinks it is not being used, some apps were better at keeping the connection going than others. Just make sure you get a car charger because the battery only lasted about 4 hours or so from what I remember. But it would use the same charger that your 8330 would use.
