I bought a 9850 Torch from Sprint back in January and I have had a couple issues with it. It only charges when I hold the power cord in one corner of the micro-usb slot and the back button works 50% of the time. After seeing how common these problems are with the 9850, and how rock solid the Bold 9930 is, I would like to switch to the 9930. I would like to return my 9850 and get a 9930 for the lowest price possible (or for free..). What is my best option - try to exchange it at a Sprint store, call Sprint's national line, or go to BlackBerry directly? This phone is only 8 months old and I need something more reliable.

you can try to go to BlackBerry first and see what they offer and if you dont like it go to Sprint Store.

Try calling Sprint cs and explain the situation. They'll probably want to send you out another 9850. Good luck.

Called BlackBerry, Sprint national number and a few local Sprint stores. BlackBerry told me to deal with Sprint and Sprint told me I had to pay for the repair. It is such a common issue that if I repair it now, it will probably break again, so I'm probably going to give up and go get an off contract 9930. Blackberry will give me $120 back for my 9850. Is there anything else I should say to Sprint or BlackBerry?
