To answer your question: Yes, it can be done, but your employer will be aware of the changes. Is there a crack to dissable this password requirements?
There are good reasons for your employer to insist on security being implemented. Making the changes is a very serious matter. Summary dismissal is the most likley consequence.
ok is there a way to do it with out the employer knowing?
No. The moment your BlackBerry reconnects to BES you will get a fresh copy of the IT policy file and an alarm will go off in IT.
A personal use BlackBerry is your best bet.
OK thanks....
I remember reading a similar post to this a while ago. I just found out that Volcari software has just come out with an app that unlocks the BB without having to enter the password every time. I wonder if IT would figure that out too. I gotta say though that if there's a password policy that locks the phone after just 5- 10 minutes, that's just damn draconian. But then again, if it's the company's device...
I wish RIM would figure out something better.
