    I have an idea with regards to this but I wanna get a concrete explanation on how this work. I know there's a encryption option both on device and sd in BlackBerry 10 devices.

    but does android, ios and windows does have this wherein user can manually encrypt data??

    Android can encrypt the phone storage and if you have a phone with a SD card, that can also be encrypted.

    Yes but I am disheartened by fact that SD card encryption at BB10 is still inferior to legacy BBOS, which gives you the option to exclude media files.

    Perhaps, if one were to just pick up SD cards off of the street and stick them in their phone.

    I find much cheaper storage expansion more desirable, though.

    No SD Card is always more secure than any encryption. It's like not having a secret, if you don't have a secret then there's no way it can slip out...

    Sure, but isn't that why Apple doesn't have SD card slots? I read that somewhere. In a sense I was being sarcastic but somehow they find logic in that... It's like saying you can build a vault with steel reinforced 6 foot thick concrete walls, ceilings and floors to secure your money but a broke man doesn't need any of that... Noone can take nothing...

    I worked in a government office that didn't even provide USB ports, this way you couldn't load info to a thumb drive.

    I think it's because they can then price gouge with internal storage tiers.

    Like when the anti-theft device went out on my Buick, the computer part costed me $1800, and the guy at the dealership said, "cheaper than having your car stolen..."
