There are a lot of threads on how to decrypt and get .rem files off of your phone, but I noticed that some of my files are encrypted while others are not (probably has to do with enabling and disabling encryption from time to time).
I was wondering how do you ENCRYPT all of the files on your card + phone?
I recently reinstalled the OS and enabled encryption but that did not re-encrypt the files that were already present, only new ones going forward.
Any walk throughs and experience would be helpful. Thanks guys!
You may wish to try enabling the encryption, copying all of your unencrypted files off of the media card and then copying them back. I can't guarantee it would work, but I guess that's what I would try first.
Just one caution: from what I've read, the encryption scheme is associated with the specific phone. So if you lose/damage your phone you will not be able to UNencrypt your files on a new BB even if you have a backup of those files (their encrypted forms).
