I just got the bold 9700 today...when going to the email setup i only get the option to set up the work email account but it won't let me set it up for personal email...any clue on how to do this thanks!

call AT&T, have them switch you to BIS, sounds like you are on BES

^^^ that's what it sounds like. and if you have to be on bes, ie. its a work supplied phone, you may need to contact your IT rep at work and have him do it for you.

Sounds like you don't have a BlackBerry Data Plan set up.

Either you don't have a data plan set up or you can try logging in via ATT Bis and set it up that way. On my VZW BB's I was never able to set them up on the BB itself, always on Bis
