Yahoo and Gmail, mostly. I've relegated Yahoo for catching a lot of my junk emails, it's a busy box. My primaries are on Gmail, as I have several accounts for various functions, and all have been coming in well, today.

Gmail (x2) and outlook.com. Both mesh well with BB 10. Gmail takes a little more care in the setup, but gives me better filtering and alias control.

I have four outlook accounts and two gmail accounts tied to my phone. All my contacts and calendar appointments are tied to one of my outlook accounts. Takes care of cross device synchronization (desktop, laptop, tablet, two cell phones) and makes it a lot easier when installing leaks as I don't deal with restoring from backups.

My Primary account is my MDaemon Email server using ActiveSync.

However, for anybody else, I usually recommend Outlook.com unless they have over 1500 contacts. That is a major limit. Otherwise, it's the most versatile because you can use many different methods/email clients to access everything. You can use a Web Browser, Windows Live Mail, Microsoft Outlook and pretty much any tablet or smartphone. Android is the one problem OS because you might need a separate outlook.com app and then a separate contact editor free to actually edit your contacts.

I do have Outlook.com, Hotmail and Gmail accounts that I use for testing and Gmail for a link to the Google Play Store with Snap.

    Canadian service...
Paid, but support is great, they even get your accidentally deleted ones back for you if you act quick and let them know...

    You need to act quickly...
    Otherwise they ARE gone.

There are gaps between data hogging --- usefulness --- and total paranoia.

See it as a service, nobody else would bother retrieving accidentally deleted drafts (that have been sitting in the folder for a while) from the server backups. And these backups are deleted frequently...

Don't you think Microsoft /Outlook.com and Google don't run server backups...? And these are known data hogs... :-)

(There are quite a few stories that whole IT companies who trusted everything to the cloud got wiped out overnight because the cloud service's silly setup wiped production data plus backups, or backups were inadequate. My IMAP email is very important to me.)

I use a community, non-profit ISP for personal email and personal website with email delivered to my BlackBerry Q5 via IMAP IDLE, and for professional email I have a Microsoft Office 365 Exchange account delivered to my smartphone via BlackBerry Cloud.

Surprising how many people mention (here and elsewhere) that they're using Yahoo as a junk email account. Looks like the place is really becoming a dump, and the CEOs have apparently been doing their part... LOL :-)

Outlook.com is my primary, and I have Yahoo, Gmail, and GMX all forwarding there.

I also use outlook.com for my contacts and calendars.

I prefer outlook because Microsoft has repeatedly stated they don't scan the contents of your emails for the purposes of targeted advertising. I'm not saying I trust them completely, but I do trust them more than Google.

I also really like the web interface and functionality.
