I am contemplating an upgrade to a BB and have been researching these helpful forums, however I'm concerned about email. My work email is a hotmail acct. I understand that I will be able to receive/send email on a BB for this account. My question is if I open an email on BB will it also be able to be read/open on my laptop? I would like to be able to check my email on the go but still be able to access those same emails on my computer. TIA

of course you will just make sure you setup your hotmail acc to leave the e-mails on the server.

Unless you hit Delete and remove the message after you read it on the phone, it will remain on the server.

You can also delete the message only on your phone and leave it on the server.

    So many choices, wow

And hotmail is picked up virtually immediately. You will love BB!

Yep, best phone and best forum for BB. But for the love of all that's decent, stay away from iPhone threads

I just replied on the current iPhone thread going on... it's fun sometimes .

To the OP, enjoy your new BB by the way, any thoughts on what model you may pick up?

Well.......still researching, reading reviews, etc. But, I'm leaning towards a Bold 9000 or 9700. I keep reading of probs with track ball, thinking the track pad might be better. My most important need is to have access to email and the web. I need to be able to open and email Word docs. I really don't care about camera, games, heavy web surfing, etc. I can use my laptop for that stuff. I know there's quite a few BB's that would fit the bill, guess I'm leaning towards the Bold cause it's the newest.....any thoughts, opinions would be appreciated! Decisions, decisions, decisions

9700 all the way but realize web browsing on a BB is not all that pleasant. And the camera is quite good.

My vote goes to the 9000 for better text and e-mail function. Spend some time in the store trying those keyboards. The 9000 size is a wonder. But the 9700 has better specs otherwise. Both are marvelous devices.

The 8900 is better than the 9000. I can't see choosing a 9000 over an 8900 or a 9700. The 8900 is the smallest of those three, but still has the same size screen and same resolution as the 9700 and a better camera than the 9000.
