    Hey all,

Longtime reader here but this is 1st post. Hopefully it's in the right forum. Here is my question:

When the people at Verizon set my BB email account up for my username they used my telephone number. So the format is XXXXXXXXXX@vzw.blackberry.net (with the X's representing my phone number).

I am wanting to delete this account and open a new one with just like my name as the username for email address ie adamcwallen@vzw.blackberry.net

The problem is this. I have a ton of messages saved under the above mentioned email address consisting of my phone numbers, that I can't lose.

If I delete this email account to start another will I lose all of those saved messages? And if I will lose them is there a way to migrate them over to my sd card?

    Thanks in advance,
    Adam

No, you won't lose them. Do a back up using Desktop Manager just to be safe that you'll still have all your old messages.

But... I'm not sure you can create a new blackberry.net email though. I think it's a one time thing that is created the same way everytime. I'm not completely sure since I don't use a blackberry.net email (never made one).

Better off to not use that email address anyway for a number of reasons.

Create a GMail or Yahoo address and use that instead. You will be likely better off in the long run.
