I notice on my BlackBerry mail that all links show up as HTML. This makes the emails long and ponderous to read. Is there any setting to get them to show as a simple link? Thanks!

    1. You need to be sure that your phone OS is updated to version 4.5. Go to Options > About and read the 3rd line.

Read the thread stickied at the top of the Curve 83xx forum section for instructions and download links.

    2. You need to ENABLE HTML for each email address on the device.

Messages > Menu > Options > Email Settings > Enable HTML Email > Yes. Repeat for each email address.

Ok, I upgraded to version 4.5 successfully. But in going under message>options>email settings I see so choice for enabling html. The only options I have are:

    Confirm delivery
    Confirm read
    Send read receipts

Last ditch cry for help. Any suggestions on why the option is not there to select HTML?

Only new emails will have the html. Older emails won't.

I had to delete my email from BIS on my pc and re-add. I also had to re-send my service books from the pc.

    Hope that helps.

    1. Re-register your Host Routing Table.

    2. Re-send your Service Books.
