I'm having a few problems with my Blackberry Email.

On my old phone it supported IMAP email, so if somebody sent an email to my Google Mail account, it would appear on my PC, Mac and phone at the same time - and if I deleted it from any one device, it would synchronise them and delete it off all devices.

On my Blackberry I can choose to delete emails 'from handheld and server', but when I do this it still appears on the Google Mail webmail as unread, and also I've just opened the Mac Mail application which I haven't done for quite some time and it's downloading 161 new email messages which is hugely annoying.

So is there any way that Blackberry can synchronise with other devices / use IMAP - or is this beyond a phone which is 'designed for email'.

[My second question was about sent messages appearing in my inbox as new mail, but apparently that's a known issue and the solution is 'deal with it, or set up an email filter'.]
